In a weekend of preselections, the Liberal National Party also endorsed Mackay City Councillor George Christensen for Dawson and Cloncurry businessman Ed Morrison for the north-western electorate of Kennedy.
Senator Macdonald said that these endorsements mean Malcolm Turnbull will have a very strong Team of Candidates in the north to join Peter Lindsay and I in the fight to bring North Queensland back into the Coalition fold.
